Kitchener AutoClub SCAM

This story is VERY SCARY which just happened to us.

I was a member of Kitchener Auto Club, a garage located at Victoria St. S Kitchener.

Owner KEN MARTIN misled us to buy maintaince service YOU DON’T NEED and lied to us to replace things that is UNRELATED!!

KEN told us to replace four Oxgen Sensors ONE at a TIME, that is JUST for diagnosing purpose!! The cheapest one cost $250, for so-called “process of elimination”, can you believe it??

For a misfire issue, any mechanics knows that has nothing to do with sensors, even if all sensor broken down won’t make car shaking. But KEN made up story said he wants to replace them all!! Worst!! I phoned retail store found out KEN made 80% profit just by selling us that part!!!

Eventualy KEN said he found the problem, simply a P.C.V. hose needs to be replaced. And then told us we also need to use “New-Engine flush” kit cost $120, which is Mandatory for fixing this issue. Later we found that’s just $11 at PartSource, for regular maintaince, totally irrelevent to the P.C.V. hose!!

Another customer we met the other day also so-called “club member”, who just paid $700 for four regular tires bought from KEN!!

Never Taking Our Car to Canadian Tire Again

My Husband took our car to have the winter tires taken off and the summer ones put on. He also got an oil change. Afterwards he went to run some errands with my son who is 15 months old. They came home and the following day (Mother’s day) my Husband took our son to go get flowers for me and when he returned he told me he had been hearing a funny noise coming from the front end. We packed our son back in the car to drive across the city for a Mother’s Day brunch with my fam, but before we left my husband checked the tires. 4 of the 5 lug nuts that hold the tires on the front of our car were so loose my husband could easily move them with this hand. The other front tire was the same. We had to call a mechanic to our house on Mother’s day to check that our car was undamaged and to properly install our tires. It was so dangerous that we couldn’t drive it into a shop. My HUSBAND had driven all over the city with our SON in the car when at any time the wheels could have come off. MY WHOLE FAMILY WAS IN THAT CAR! Canadian tire didn’t give a crap and it was only after my husband threatened to sue that we got our money back. I will NEVER take our car there again. It is not worth saving the money.

Poor Customer Service at Canadian Tire

I have stopped going to shop at the Canadian Tire on McGillvary and Kenaston in Winnipeg. The reasons??

First, it is very difficult to find floor staff to assist you or answer your questions.

Second, some floor staff do not appear to know their stock, and don’t appear interested in making the effort to find the answers to customer questions.

I am sure that there must be good floor clerks in the store somewhere, but I have not had the pleasure of being served by one yet.

In contrast, the clerks at the Canadian Tire store on St. James street are great! That is our CT go to store now.

Sears Canada Sucks

Their delivery is a joke. They make you pay extra and no one know anything. Pasting my complaint made to the company:

Sir/Madam,

I would like to log a complaint about your crappy customer service. I ordered a mattress on 05/27/11 delivery request id: xxxxx. On the delivery date 060711, I had some issues and the mattress could not be delivered. I was informed that delivery could be rescheduled FREE of charge as per agent Tom.

Due to time conflict, I could not get the time slot needed for delivery since sears had 12-6 pm and my condo would let me book the elevator for the mattress for 4-6 pm. After several calls to reschedule (I find it appalling how you can reschedule only 6 hrs after the supposed time slot since nothing was on the system!), one agent, peggy advised me that I could ask someone at the store where the purchase was made for timed delivery and they would have to fax the request to the delivery dept.

I called the store at Vega St and had an unpleasant women who spoke as if i was disturbing her, saying that the delivery dept did not have all night to deliver when i asked her if 4-6 pm was ok and she advised me it will cost $75 because it is TIMED delivery. I put my request for 4-6 pm delivery as I had no other option.

On 060911, the driver called me at 2:58 pm saying they were coming in 15 mins. I advised him I paid for time delivery between 4-6 pm because I don’t have an elevator to which the man replied that I should just book it and my delivery was between 12-6 pm. He had nothing on paper saying it was a request for 4-6 pm when I asked him.

I called the sears call centre because it made no sense for me to get the mattress earlier when the elevator was booked by someone else and I paid special for TIMED delivery. The agent advised me nothing was noted on the file, that they don’t do time delivery. I called the store again as someone did take my credit card number and it was charged. Was advised I had to talk to customer service who told me the request was made and they did put on the paper for delivery between 4-6 pm and that I had to call delivery dept and say I paid special. Here I call delivery dept and advised nothing noted on my file. Delivery between 12-6 pm as per system.

Exasperated I told the agent I paid special, that I called the store etc and was put on hold for 5-10 minutes. She advised me that the driver would do his best to accommodate my request. How nice, “try his best”.. I paid $75 for someone to try his best and for another person not to have noted the special request on file. The driver “tried his best” and came at 15:50. Fortunately concierge let him in because it was close to 4 pm. I don’t want to imagine what would have happened if the person who had booked the elevator was still using it, or if I had not called to all these depts or if the driver had arrived earlier around 1 pm since everyone read delivery as 12-6 pm which is the NORMAL FREE time slot. Would I have had to rebook again and be charged more?

I think your company should be ashamed of taking money from people for “special” request when the instruction is not even followed and no one from the company and call centre is aware of it. Do you think I was willing to pay extra just because I was feeling generous that day? To add insult to injury, they charged taxes on the delivery special request when I was advised it would cost $75 period. My card has been charged $84.95.

Seriously I would like to have the taxes reversed. I paid $75 which increased to $84.95 for a special request that was NOT even one and had to do extra work to call around to make sure my mattress arrived on time and no one was aware of the instructions. How ridiculous is that! I was lucky that concierge lets them in this time. The frustration and hassle is so NOT worth the purchase nor the special delivery fee since in the end no one knew it was a timed delivery.

Shoppers Drug Mart Does Not Give a Damn

I purchased expensive cosmetics shoppers dufferin/rutherford vaughan on, was told by cosmetic “manager” (joke a manager, hire anyone to be a manager in cosmetics) I would be given Lancome gift. supposed to phone me about “event” in store where prizes,gifts plus my special Lancome gift would be set aside for me in the drawer with my name on and phone #. this manger in cosmetics is alexis. never phoned me about the event, I phone after the fact, expecting to pick up my put aside Lancome gift with my name on — lo, behold she tells me it was GIVEN TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER. so she never bothers to phone about event and gives my gift to someone else!!! when speaking with her about it she became rude defensive insulted me said she’s ending the phone conversation, wont give me another gift from another company which she does have,offers me no compensation ie as gift from another company, nada, disinterested, has such an attitude no apologetic she also has her own hoursnot there every day,leaves youngsters there without manager only supervisor of store available, has youngsters working there who have little knowledge about productsalso have attitude nthey think tons of makeup makes up for ?? I told alexis because of this I am now returning a product which I have not used or opened since I bought from there–she REFUSES to take it back!! this is not the only shoppers where beauty boutique have no little managers no knowledge about managers and to try to return is such a hassle!! I am sick and tired of shocking customer service throughout shopppers stores not just beauty boutiques go to the bay where they dont have a problem they are professional, ethical, treat you with respect I am disgusted!!!!

Shocking Customer Service From Sears Canada

sears has gone downhill very fast their customer service is shocking they are rude disinterested show no respect no interest in customers practically non-existent sales staff in departments who disappear as soon as they appear–you have to call for service they treat you like garbage this store is in promenade mall thornhill– do not go by what is on their website—they never have stock

besides all this, I was looking at a comforter, took it to the bed section to see if it would fit my bed sales assistant said I could, opened it up then asked the woman in bed section to please help me put it back in package she did within 5 minutes some woman comes charging over to me like a bull grabs the comforter out my hands opens it says I took pillow shams from another one I said I could not have and the sales assistant put it back!! she was so rude disrespectful didnt show courtesy “may I please open it up look inside” for example, grabbed it like a mad bull I flew out that store–anyway never go there because they never have stock, no assistance and bloody rude!! what a joke of a store and we are in Canada–where are ethics professionalism politeness manners customers come first customers come first a plesant shopping experience TRY TO RETURN as well to sears–what a nightmare anyway there are other stores who sell brands much cheaper and who are pleasant to deal with

Mr. Efficient in Ottawa Not Honouring Kahoot.ca Vouchers!â€

I spoke with Noreen from Mr. Efficient 3 times throughout April and May and was never informed by them that they would not come out to my home to clean my cars. In fact we made two different appointments.

This morning my husband stayed home and they were supposed to be here at 10 a.m. to clean our cars and he just called NOW to say they are not coming and he doesn’t care that we bought the vouchers and he told us to just call Kahoot and get our money back.

I told him that he never informed me in the 3 times that I talked to them before that they would not honour the vouchers, why now?? Why 10 minutes before you are supposed to be at my home???

I am PISSED!

I told him this was no way to run a company and that I was going to post it all over the internet so that people will now know not to deal with Mr. Efficient in Ottawa!

Unbelievable! I’ll be calling Kahoot.ca to get our money back. What a pain in the A$$!!

Moldy Buns at Quizno’s

My son works at Yonge and Shepperd in Toronto, he went to Quizno’s for lunch, after eating most of his sandwich he found that the bun was moldy and blue underneath, I said did you complain he said the person behind the counter didn’t seem interested and was still serving customers, thankfully my son didn’t get ill eating it. St. Catherine’s Walmart

I had no choice but to buy the baby his car seat ( 20 + pound one) I went to find someone for some help with it. (should have stayed home!) First person was really busy & tried to help…but when you have 5 ppl waiting for help, I gave up.

Found someone who said ” I am going on my lunch break, You should go across to the states right now, They are on for $40.00″

I could not believe it… I was in shock that they even said that, I wonder how long Wal-Mart Canada will have that “macy’s” appeal to go somewhere else…lol not even a mention of what store either… So needless to say..no more Wal-mart for me… I wonder if they knew what the staff said would they agree?? I am kinda wondering what store though :)

Horrible Service and Client Support from Weed Man

Do not trust anything you hear from Weed Man Sales or service. When we were deciding on which lawn care service to hire this summer we picked Weed Man because the sales representative told us that if the weeds were not dying that all we had to do was call their office and an inspector would be out within 24 hours. (not true) As well, we were told that they would begin the weed control service right away (we hired them in mid April and they did not apply weed control until May 16th, and that was only after I threatened to cancel their service after multiple calls wondering when they would start. ) After the first application - that did not work - an inspector came out, looked over the job and agreed that it needed to be treated again. He promised that it would be done by yesterday (which was 3 days after his inspection) . When I got home yesterday) it was clear they had not done the job so I called the nasty customer service person who finally let me speak to the office manager. She was unbelievably rude and told me that the reason I had weeds was because my lawn was not thick enough. SHE’S NEVER BEEN TO MY HOUSE. I never had weeds last year!! and all my neighbours are weed free because they were smart and went with a competitor. We fertilize and seed our lawn on a regular basis.

She finally said “what can we do to solve this?” I said I wanted service yesterday and she said “impossible” but that she would send someone today - Saturday, but that would only be weather pending. Another lame attempt to drag this service out over a long weekend ultimately not doing the work until mid to late next week! How can the competition still get the work done in the same weather conditions??

Credit Card Issue at Sears

I pre ordered over the phone some products from the Clinique Counter. The sales associated told me that I will charged in two weeks when my order is sent out. More than two weeks goes by so I call. Apparently, the sales associated did not have the products in stock even though she assured me she did. And that over the two - three week period she was never going to call me to let me know lol. Whatever I said no big deal, I’ll just go in person then and pick out some other products. After picking them out the Sales associated me assured me that my other order over the phone was null and void because I had decided to come in person. Feeling uneasy I called them and reminded them to make sure my credit card would not be charged for a double order. LOL well today guess what I got. The order I had placed over a month and a half ago. So apparently even though my order was null and void they still kept my credit card information. A warning to everyone, just shop somewhere else. This was my fault, I know that Sears sucks and have been practicing shady business for a while. But I still went ahead and gave them my business. I’m just gonna keep the double order it isn’t worth returning because I could always use them in the future. What really has me pissed off is that my order was cancelled, I called twice to remind them and was assured and promised it was cancelled (they thought I was a crazy girl for repeatedly calling lol). But if it was cancelled how did they still have my credit card info to charge me. That is telling me that they keep your information. I called and left a message with a manager, not to yell at her or anything like that. I just really want my credit card information to be destroyed and not kept by them to charge me “cancelled orders”.

Walmart Gone Wrong

I went to the north shore Walmart,

I have to used coupons for the last 5 years I am one of the Canadians that supports an American store in Canada and I fully aware of all of walmarts coupon policies.

I am disgusted with how I was treated yesterday by the cashier and the store manager both which knew nothing about coupons , they could even read the coupon properly and were making a mess of my transaction the cashier was scanning my zip-locks I told her they were coming up at the wrong price and she continued to scan them all through and ignored me then my coupon stated buy 2 zip-locks and get 2 free she would only give me one free and she was writing the wrong price in the area on the coupon i explained to her 3 times what the coupon said she said no, I asked her to call the manager, she only called someone from the automotive department? Then she called for the manger Sahsa, this was yestirday May 22 2011 at 4:15, I told the manager about the coupon she said I was right, then I explained that the price came up wrong at the register, she went back to check on the price my friend followed her and watched from around the corner of the isle as she ripped off the sale price and brought the reg price tag up to show me. That’s deceiving and evil.

Also the toilet paper that I bought scanned at 10.98 I told the manager the price tag said 5.97 at this point i didn’t trust her so I went with her she said are you sure you selected this one i said yes she brought it back to the till didn’t even check my Toilet paper if it was the same then she instructed the cashier to change the price.

I should have received the SCOP on the toilet paper and the zip-locks ( I didn’t bother because the manager was starting to argue with me about my coupons) She looked at my disgustingly and ask if I printed some of these coupons.

I decided I wanted my coupons back and didn’t want to complete my purchase due to the hassle she was giving me. Then she said lets start over so we did and then the zip-lock coupon she said I cannot purchase the zip-lock bags i have picked out because they were the new zip-locks, I told her the coupon states any zip-lock, I told her a zip-lock is a zip-lock she walked away and 10 seconds later she returned and said I could use the coupon

I am pretty certain the manager and the cashier do not know there coupon policy. This was the worst checkout of my life with the manager raising her voice at me and giving me grief over nothing, I have every right to use my manufacture coupons.

I was so dissatisfied i did not purchase a single thing and my bill total was $110.00, I do not tolerate people who treat me with disrespect and discriminate against me for using coupons.

I had to ask the manager 3 times before she would give me her name, I told her I was going to write this letter to head office.

It was clear that she did not want to give me her name as she was in the wrong.

Canada Post Sucks Big Time

I mailed some very important documentation using Canada post. The lady at the post office told me if I pay $ 65.00 my mail will reach its destination in 5 business days. I paid my money and its now 60 days and Canada post is unable to find my mail. The last information they got is Mississauga. I’ve spent over $200.00 to do those papers, all government documents.

Now I am afraid that the US immigration will cancel my papers because of the negligence of Canada post. This is wrong and I wish they close down and a better company opens.

Spicy Pizza and Wings Double Billed Me

Spicy Pizza & Wings located at 5637 Finch Ave E Scarborough, ON M1B 5K9 scammed me by double billing me for a large pizza and wings combo. Their telephone order taker stated that my $25- prepaid Amex gift card was invalid so I paid in cash. Months later, I found out that the gift card had a NIL balance and discovered that Spicy Pizza & Wings took $25- from the gift card on the same day in which they claimed was invalid. I wonder whose signature they have on the receipt before they submitted it to Amex. The owner, Ram Uthyan requested a copy of the transaction by email. I did not hear back from Mr. Uthyan after I sent him the email.

DEL Property Management Inc. (Part of Tridel Group of Companies)â€

DEL Property Management Inc. and Wilson Poon, Property Manager, Grace Lee, former Assistant Property Manager and their contractors harassed and made fun of me as a single woman, discriminated against me and scammed my family and me by not allowing various couriers like Canada Post, FEDEX, UPS, Purolator, small individual courier companies, and even my parents one time into the TRIDEL built building. I purchased my unit from Tridel. Security at the gatehouse would tell the delivery people that no such and such person(s) lived here. The parcels would be marked unknown and returned to the sender. My family and I have won over $22,000- in contest prizes over a year ago. Imagine what the Sponsors are thinking when they receive the parcels back as unknown. We lost our prizes for good. We also ordered things and had the things returned back to the sender as unknown too. I complained to Mr. Poon and Ms. Lee and they stated that security only lets delivery people in to deliver for the owner only just like how they accept parcels for the owner only. Mr. Poon also stated that he does not have to let any delivery people into the building for security reasons because he does not believe that the parcels are paid for. Like who is going to send something out that is not paid for. Mr. Poon said to not tell Del Property Management about the above or else he’ll fabricate another one of his stories about me. I wrote to the President of the Board of our Condo Corporation, Victor Thompson over a year ago. Mr. Thompson said to deal with Property Management over and over again.

I feel so humiliated and harassed right now!
