Canadian Tire Car Service Complaint

I brought my suv in to see what a noise was under the car, they evaluated the car and said it was a wheel bearing. They said they had the time to fix it. I said then go ahead. When I picked up the car there was a terrible noise with the breaks that I could not drive it out of the parking, When I went back inside they took it out for a test drive and the guy came back and said that it was the breaks and he did not want us to take it because it was to dangerous. The guy working on it was gone and would not return until 4 days later. That I had to wait. The manager there just said well sorry about that but they did not have a cell number so he was unreachable. He was trying to explain to me that it was the tension spring on the car, and that when he put the spring back he had to put more tension on it.

I was trying to tell him that he took it out, he knew there was a problem with his work. He should have taken it back in to fix it.

I was told by my new neighbors don’t ever go to Canadian Tire because you car always comes out worse then when it went in. I regret not taken their advice. It’s true, I feel that they hire anyone who can hold a wrench. They have no idea what the heck they are doing, and in the meantime I am out of work for 3 days.

This is really unacceptable, and as for the manager shame on you for not doing anything more then an apology and nothing you can do about it….

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM PANASONIC CANADA, TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM ENERGIZER CANADA!â€

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK PANASONIC CANADA FOR HAVING TRULY EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A PANASONIC BATTERY CHARGER, AND WHEN IT MALFUNCTIONED, THE COMPANY NOT ONLY REPLACED IT WITHOUT CHARGE, THEY REPLACED IT WITH A BETTER ONE, AND SENT ALONG A FEW COMPLIMENTARY BATTERIES AS WELL. THIS COMPANY PROVIDED TRULY EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND SERVICE AND THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS, WHICH I HAVE FOUND TO BE OF EXCELLENT QUALITY. I DID NOT EXPECT THIS LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND IN FACT, I ALMOST DID NOT CALL THEM, BECAUSE IN THE PAST, I HAVE HAD SOME VERY POOR EXPERIENCES WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM OTHER COMPANIES. I FIGURED I WOULD HAVE TO BUY A NEW CHARGER IF MY CHARGER HAD INDEED STOPPED WORKING, BUT I CALLED THE COMPANY TO INQUIRE IF PERHAPS THERE WAS SOMETHING I WAS DOING WRONG THAT I COULD CHANGE, OR IF THE UNIT COULD AT LEAST STILL BE USED TO CHARGE BATTERIES ALTHOUGH THE LED INDICATOR WOULD NO LONGER FUNCTION. I EMAILED THE COMPANY WITH MY QUESTION AND THEY CALLED ME BACK ON THE VERY NEXT BUSINESS DAY. I WAS AMAZED AT THEIR HELPFULNESS - WHEN THEY ASCERTAINED THAT THE UNIT WAS NO LONGER FUNCTIONING, I THANKED THEM FOR THEIR HELP AND WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE, BUT THEY STOPPED ME AND ARRANGED TO SEND OUT A REPLACEMENT. I HAVE A NUMBER OF PANASONIC PRODUCTS IN MY HOME - MICROWAVE, PHONES, BATTERIES AND CHARGER,S ETC. - AND THEY ARE ALL OF EXCELLENT QUALITY. NOW THAT I’VE LEARNED THAT THEY ALSO HAVE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOOK FOR AND BUY PANASONIC OVER THE ALTERNATIVES.

(INCIDENTALLY, I HAVE PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED NUMEROUS ENERGIZER BATTERY CHARGERS, AND I HAD A VERY POOR EXPERIENCE WITH THEIR PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAD SIX CONSECUTIVE CHARGERS MALFUNCTION AFTER ONLY A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND VERY LIMITED USE, AND I REPLACED EACH ONE MYSELF, UNTIL FINALLY THE SEVENTH FAILED ON ONLY THE SECOND OR THIRD USE. I FINALLY CALLED THE COMPANY, AT WHICH TIME I LEARNED THAT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS OF THE SAME POOR QUALITY AS THEIR PRODUCTS. I WAS ADVISED THAT I WOULD NEED TO SHIP THE UNIT BACK TO THEIR P.O. BOX AT MY OWN COST, AND TOLD THAT THEY MAY OR MAY NOT REPLACE IT THEREAFTER. I REQUESTED AN ALTERNATE SHIPPING ADDRESS THAT COULD ACCEPT A COURIERED DELIVERY AS I WOULD NEED SOMEONE TO PICK UP THE DELIVERY FROM MY HOME, AND I EXPLAINED THAT I COULD NOT GET IT TO THE POST OFFICE MYSELF AS I HAVE A BROKEN BACK. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP, A YOUNG MAN, LAUGHED AT MY PREDICAMENT AND MADE SOME VERY RUDE, SNIDE COMMENTS. HE TOLD ME I SHOULD GET WHOEVER HELPS ME WITH MY GROCERIES AND ALL THE OTHER THINGS I APPARENTLY CAN’T DO TO TAKE IT TO THE POST OFFICE AS I APPARENTLY COULDN’T ‘RUN’ IT THERE MYSELF. ALTHOUGH I WAS INSULTED BY HIS ATTITUDE AND HIS COMMENTS, I ATTEMPTED TO EXPLAIN THAT I HAVE HAD TO MAKE ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS FOR MY NECESSITIES AND THAT I DO NOT HAVE A PERONAL HELPER TO DO MY BIDDING. I FOUND THIS PARTICULARLY INSULTING - I DIDN’T APPRECIATE THE CONDESCENDING, RUDE BEHAVIOUR OR SNIDE COMMENTS. I FOUND THE ENERGIZER PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE TO BE EXTREMELY POOR AND IN STARK CONTRAST TO THE PANASONIC PRODUCTS AND CONSUMER SERVICE.)

I WOULD MOST CERTAINLY BUY PANASONIC PRODUCTS IN THE FUTURE, BECAUSE THEY ARE OF EXCELLENT QUALITY AND THE COMPANY OFFERS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. THIS IS APPARENTLY NOT ALL THAT COMMON - SO I WANT TO GIVE MY BUSINESS TO THE COMPANIES WHO DO PROVIDE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. WITH ANY LUCK, COMPANIES WHO DON’T OFFER THIS KIND OF SERVICE WILL FLOURISH, AND THOSE THAT DON’T WILL HAVE TO IMPROVE, OR PERISH.

Lousy Oil Change Service at Walmart

I have been to Walmart Auto in Kingston for my last two oil changes and their “service” was the same for both. The staff are abrupt, they can’t speak in a friendly tone, but can be quite cold and they must be told to make sure they do not smile at a customer because they all deliver poor service equally. I will never go back and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Toys”R”Us Stupid Ticket Systemâ€

This year I had my first baby and We purchased everything from Babies R Us. I was really happy with how helpful the staff was and we bought some really good stuff for our little girl. I loved going to babies r us because I knew I get the help I needed.

However the last visit i made (2011/02/12) was horrible. I left the store crying and very angry.

We made a special trip to go buy the Alpha Elite 3 n 1 car seat for our daughter. We went due to the promotion and because our daughter is disabled. The chair was also recommended by her doctors. She tends to arch and get stuck on her neck in her current car seat. The Alpha Elite car seat has a head rest that seems to prevent our daughter from getting stuck. The staff lady that was helping us realized this too, and agreed that the Alpha Elite would be good for her. So we put her in the car seat to see if she’d like it. While the staff lady was explaining all the great things about the car seat, a small crowd gathered to listen in. I was so excited and my daughter liked the seat and we decided to buy it that day.

While I was grabbing the last ticket I noticed another lady was interested and was sad to see the last ticket go. We got the last ticket fair and square so we happily continued to shop. When we got to the register we bought everything and waited aside for the boys to bring our car seat and high chair out so when could bring them home. However they only came up with our highchair. They then told us that they didn’t have our Alpha Elite 3 n 1 car seat in stock. While they were lying to us, I turned around to see the sad lady that didn’t get the last ticket to the Alpha Elite Car seat walk out happily with OUR (we had already bought it) Alpha Elite 3 n 1 car seat. The staff girl that just lied to me watched my husband and I glaring as she walked out. Guess they figured they’d better tell us what really happen. Apparently that “sad� lady asked the staff lady (that explained the Car seat) for the boys to get her one from the back so she could put it in her shopping cart knowing damn well that we had the last ticket. Even the staff lady that explained the car seat to us knew it was the last ticket because she stated that she’d have to go print some more for the lady. Both ladies knew that we needed this car seat for our disabled baby girl. Due to the fact a crowd gathers we explained her disability while they watched us put her in the seat. Anyways I didn’t freak out in the store like I probably should have because I believed that we’d be helped.

After leaving the store and calming down I called the store and talked to a manager that was kind but still didn’t help. I got a rain check good for 30 days and was told that a shipment would be in this week. They’d call me and place one on hold.

So I called today because I didn’t hear back from anyone. They told me that I might have to wait 2-3 weeks for the car seat. WHAT THE HELL right. I need this car seat so I can get my daughter to all her doctor appointments. I can’t wait that long. I shouldn’t have to be waiting that long because we already bought the car seat. Not to mention we were yet again lied to because we now have to wait 3 weeks! What is the ticket system for anyways? Make the store seem pretty?. Toy r us prides themselves as being there to help families in need. Well we are a family in need that got $*** on. Can you even imagine how horrible I feel? I can’t drive to my daughter’s appointment without be scared she is hurting herself due to her car seat now. I keep thinking I should already have the Alpha Elite car seat. I think I really hate the store now. I have a really bad memory of it now.

I thought you should all know this. Our family, friends and even our DOCTORS said we should bring this to your attention. We feel we were and are being treated unfairly due to the store’s mistake.

This company scammed me by charging my credit card $100- for the $12- coffee freebie that they had weeks ago. I know that I should have not given my credit card information for a freebie. I had the charges removed immediately by Visa because others have been scammed by CaptainSave.com as well. Visa is on to their business practices.

Excellent Customer Service From Johnson & Johnson Baby Canada

I emailed Johnson and Johnson Baby on Sunday after myself and all three sons broke out into a rash after using one of their products. They emailed back today with a reference number and asked me to call them as they needed to submit the information to Health Canada. The rep on the phone was very friendly and is going to send me a cheque for the retail price of all the products I have with the same lot number and a mailer to send the ones I have back to the company to be tested. I am very impressed with how they handled the situation and the fact that they are going to test them for abnormalities.

Out of Stock at RCSS

For the second time in two months I have gone to the Real Canadian Liquorstore in Signal hill (Calgary) to buy an item listed in a flyer. The flyer came out today for a promotion set to run for five days, but lo and behold the store had none of the item in stock. The clerk gave me a half-assed shrug and said they were unable to get any stock. Maybe tomorrow? This is phony and misleading advertising plain and simple. If you cannot get any stock, then do not advertise the product. I’m done with Real Canadian Superstore.

RCSS Customer Service

A week back I order some print from the RCSS website, they send you an email to confirm your oder, a couple days later my order was in (or so the e-mail said) and off I trotted to the store.

When I got the store (at 8am) the lady at the photo counter asked if they called me, I said no and said that I recieved an email stating my order was ready for pick up, she told me that doesnt mean anything, I asked her to take a look for my prints which she did snarkly

She asked me what I ordered and I told her I ordered the sale item prints, before I finished she cut me off and said she had “no idea what the sale photos were.”

Then she just stood there with a glare, I was prety upset with her atittude and upset my prints werent in, I tried to smile at her and said forget it

I almost walked over to customer service but stopped myself.

I THEN recieved a phonecall an hour later saying my order was ready ……WHAT?

Im pretty upset with the customer service lately from RCSS and I personally wont be sending my photos to there deparment any longer, wondering if anyone else has had similiar experiences

Avoid Best Buy in Whitby

I bought a new clock radio with a built-in CD player. When I tried playing a CD the sound was very garbled, so I tried other Cd’s and the same thing happened. I returned it to the same store, but before i did I checked whether or not they had another of the same model. The shelf was empty, so I returned the clock saying that the sound was garbled. I recieved my money back. I stayed awhile to look at other items. I happened by the same clock radio display ten minutes later… THEY HAD RESTOCKED THE SHELF WITH THE SAME RETURNED CLOCK-RADIO !! (Buyer beware: Never buy a box that has been opened - it may be repackaged hardware, and could be broken - especially at that store !)

Disappointed in George Line of Clothing from Walmart

I’m very disappointed in your new line of clothes “george” the t shirts are so thin you can spit through them the Quality is crap you catter to the young people with your clothes line i usually wear a size 10 in order to wear the george line you have to be a size 2 and no bulges ive tried looking for clothes for my 86 year old mother and there is nothing for her even your emplyees admit there is nothing for the elderly seems from where i sit its our seniors that would have more money to spend then our teenagers more then once ive asked an emploee for help they are curtious say i will be right back to help you and you never see them again also for example my husband bought me slippers for christmas and the soles are already falling off i realize you dont really care you just make more money cause know i need to replace them.

Valid Coupon Denied at Shoppers Drug Mart

I had 2 save.ca coupons for $1 off sunlight dishsoap &wanted to use them today with the sale price of $0.99. The manager rejected my coupons, they were valid and for the item specified. He said he couldn’t accept them because they were for $1 off and the item was $0.99. I suggested he just alter the value of the coupon as other stores do & there would be no issue. He said “Shoppers Drug Mart does not do that” I told him that sunlight would still reimburse the store for the coupon, they’d still get their money! They stood firm, so I left the store & did not purchase anything. I wrote head office & told them of my experience today & said that I will be price-matching their flyer at stores like walmart or zellers when I need to purchase their sale items from now on!

Denied Purchase of a Sale Item Without a Deposit at Canadian Tire

When I approached an employee at canadian tire to obtain a rain check for an item that was not displayed or available (out of stock) which I was told a day earlier that only one of such items had recieved & it was sold. I went a day later & there was none. I requestaed a rain check & was told that I would have to prepay 30% of the price in order to have it brought in. I have in the past experienced a lack of availabity of advertised items. I simply bought them elsewhere, I am getting pissed off at the lack of concern @ this store.

Avoid Future Shop At All Costs

Purchased a netbook from F/S and they were to do some installing and said this would take a maximum of 4 hrs. We came back 6 hrs. later and they did not have it ready. They had 1 installer working on a Fri. and he was also working the cashier. They told me to wait 20 minutes. Another person came to the till and the installer proceed to deal with him. I said excuse me but if you are the only one working at the installing how do you plan to install my netbook and work with other customers. he left and started to work in the back. In the mean time we were told we have 2 choices to either wait or get our money back. This was from the computer floor manager.

I said this is your customer service, this is your answer for very poor service. I will definitly let others know and made an official complaint.

The installer was sorry, I said your system needs some fine tuning and said you have 6 people at customer service and only one installer. We counted the personal staff on the floor and they have 14 persons about. Very poor service.

I definitly would avoid Future Shop and will definitly let others know about my experience.
