Sears Canada: Once again thank you

Well thank you again Sears for your lousy service. No wonder we keep hearing horror after horror stories about your company. Last week I placed a $700.00 clothes order and when I went to pick it up, there was no trace of me ever placing it! What sickens me the most, is how after making several calls, I kept hearing “I’m sorry MAM” would you like to replace your order? NEVER AGAIN. Thank you. I have 3 gift certificates from you fine people from a last fiasco with my parents ordering couches that were cancelled and no one bothered to tell them. The certificates are now being SHREDDED.

Sears Canada Appliance Problem

Very Bad Experience with the purchase of Appliances - Dishwasher, etc from Sears.

Had installation problems and problems with the Appliances which were ignored. I could not reach anybody for assistance. My calls were not returned.

I still have ongoing problems with the appliances that remain unresolved.

They also charged me twice for the same appliances. Unfortunately I had put the charge on my Sears Card. The Card company wanted me to contact the Salesman who I could never reach. I finally forced a chargeback with much difficulty.

I will never buy appliances from Sears again.

Problem With Raincheck at Sherway Sears

I had a raincheck for a toaster oven from Sears. Tried unsuccessfully to reach dept. by phone, operator finally took my telephone number and details and said someone would get back to me. Waited 3 days still no call so called again and asked for the Store Manager (not Dept. Mgr). That was 4 weeks ago and still waiting. Customer Service no longer exists at Sears and I will be taking my business elsewhere, there are lots of companies that would like my business I am sure.

Sears Doesn’t Care

I have been shopping at Sears for decades and now find I am not getting any catalogues. How can I continue to order items. I am a senior and can’t always get out. I guess Sears doesn’t really care about Customer Service!

Walmart Sells Used Shavers

I bought a beard trimmer at a Walmart at Lougheed Mall in Coquitlam, BC, Canada, and didn’t notice until I got home, but it had clearly been used before as there was someone elses stubble all over it. The box didn’t say that it was “refurbished” or anything that would indicate that it had been used before. I haven’t tried to return it yet, any thoughts before I do?

Extremely Poor Service From Sears

In 2010 I purchased a washer/dryer set from Sears. Delivery was a nightmare but I eventually got them.. Then came the installation. No shows for 2 booked appointments.

Fast foward 14 months….

Last week the washing machine broke down. I called Sears home service. I work but told them I could be home September 26th. They nicely gave me a service # and booked the appointment for Sept 26th, 2011. The repair persib would be here between 8 am and 8pm but would call in the morning to confirm a more accurate time. It is now 2:30 pm. I just got off the phone with Sears ( I called them)…and guess what no repair person is coming today. Apparently I was force booked into their system. Today I was advised that being force booked is no guarantee that someone will show up. Would have been nice to be advised of this at time of booking. I took the day off work…without pay. The customer service person in the Philipines apologized but said there was nothing to be done.

I have purchased my last anything from Sears. I find it hard to believe that Sears has sunk so low. They used to be the best at what they do. Wonder how long it will be before they are no more.

Sears Canada SUCKS!

Sears canada SUCKS…. President CEO of 2011 has made poor decisions. All of the employees are being penialized for there cutbacks. How does this executive team move from a food chain to retail. And then theres the other guy who had like 10 jobs in 5 years. I have reached out via email about a month ago but however neither have responded. Iam currently looking to leave Sears cause they treat there staff like a infested farm. And even worse they treat there customers even worse. They have lost the code of ethics as I ve been with them for 20 years. Its sad but true. Try to avoid Sears, there prices have plunged up and Iam telling you we are a bunch of disgruntled staff. This all happend in May of this year and still not able to resolve the matter. Stay away from Sears Canada, shop at Zellers or the Bay. Never taught i would say this…..but dont promote employee brutality

Sears Cosmetics Departmentâ€

Shocking! Disrespectful and unavailable staff.

Was in to get my Estee Lauder products and when I walked into the department at 7:30 pm on a Thursday night a few weeks ago I couldn’t believe it! Every person on shift in there was sitting behind their counters on chairs “lounging” and ALL of them had their cell phones out!

When I came up to the counter the girl got off her chair and got my products and was nice enough. The other two were at the Clarins counter still chatting and looking at their cells. One was apparently a manager!!!

The department was pretty much empty and really I felt like I was bothering them just being there. Like I’d interrupted their “girl time”.

I’ve been in before and there seem to one or two who will genuinely say hello and ask if you need help but then there are these others that seem more interested in sharing pictures on their phones or texting RIGHT in front of Customers!!!!

No one else in the store had phones out - I know because I walked around looking for anyone with cell phones out.

If the manager does it I suppose it’s okay?

I won’t shop there anymore…the Bay will get my business before I step foot into another Sears cosmetic department. At least the girls there aren’t sitting on their rears on their cell phones!

I really did feel like I was an uninvited guest at a party. Not good at all and I doubt that I am the only customer who’s had this experience.

As a telephone sales representative you will have the privilege of earning $10.50/hr

Sears assign a target sale of $100.00/hr

What a justice?

A ratio of almost 10 to 1

They calculate how much time you spend in the phone talking to a client and how much time you take to update the client’s file.

They do not want you to spend too much time in the washroom, or walking around or getting a coffee.

They warn you that your lunch break extended by 2 minutes

They hire high power slave drivers, with big whips and magnificent and Gestapo tactics and ideas on how to improve the productivity of the work force as SEARS need more and more of the public’s money at the same time that they do not supply an adequate service.

Their emphasis is on selling at whatever cost, but do not fulfill any promises made to the customers

Don’t Buy From Sears

Sears’ delivery is the worst I have very experienced. they call to say that it will be a morning delivery on Saturday and that my area is done first so expect them anytime after 8:30. I set the alarm for 7:30 sat morning. meanwhile at 12:30 they are still not here and the delivery guy calls to say they are running behind and they expect to be here at 2 or 3.

Moral of the story is that you buy at sears and you get exceptionally poor service. The item-a mattress was 800 and they charged me 65 for delivery!

Property Damage During Sears Appliance Delivery

Absolutely unbeleivable! I went with Sears to buy stove, fridge and dishwasher, because “I thought” Sears had a good reputation! Nothing could be further from the truth!!

I spent over $4000 on these appliances and have been treated like garbage when dealing with the property damage done to my house during delivery. No one wants to take responsibility, I have been “mistakenly” disconnected, the person I need to talk to is always either “just left for the day” or “in a meeting”. Sears must have 24 hour a day meetings for all their supervisors and managers. The delivery guys were rude and arrogant as well.

I will absolutely, positively NEVER buy anything else from Sears, and I will GLADLY share my experience with as many people as I can.

Someone made a ” booboo” somewhere either at Sears or at Panasonic. Re-ordering again I was promised a June 24 delivery. We are now July 6 and it is back order and at best July 17. What is it going to be next ? I have already sent two e-mails to the Panasonic cust service since I am told it is their fault for not having on the shelf the proper parts ans consequently super long deliveries & outrageous service affecting both your organizations. No more Panasonic or Sears for me & my family.Mr. Customer; Blainville., Qc; Canada.

Sears Canada Sucks

Their delivery is a joke. They make you pay extra and no one know anything. Pasting my complaint made to the company:

Sir/Madam,

I would like to log a complaint about your crappy customer service. I ordered a mattress on 05/27/11 delivery request id: xxxxx. On the delivery date 060711, I had some issues and the mattress could not be delivered. I was informed that delivery could be rescheduled FREE of charge as per agent Tom.

Due to time conflict, I could not get the time slot needed for delivery since sears had 12-6 pm and my condo would let me book the elevator for the mattress for 4-6 pm. After several calls to reschedule (I find it appalling how you can reschedule only 6 hrs after the supposed time slot since nothing was on the system!), one agent, peggy advised me that I could ask someone at the store where the purchase was made for timed delivery and they would have to fax the request to the delivery dept.

I called the store at Vega St and had an unpleasant women who spoke as if i was disturbing her, saying that the delivery dept did not have all night to deliver when i asked her if 4-6 pm was ok and she advised me it will cost $75 because it is TIMED delivery. I put my request for 4-6 pm delivery as I had no other option.

On 060911, the driver called me at 2:58 pm saying they were coming in 15 mins. I advised him I paid for time delivery between 4-6 pm because I don’t have an elevator to which the man replied that I should just book it and my delivery was between 12-6 pm. He had nothing on paper saying it was a request for 4-6 pm when I asked him.

I called the sears call centre because it made no sense for me to get the mattress earlier when the elevator was booked by someone else and I paid special for TIMED delivery. The agent advised me nothing was noted on the file, that they don’t do time delivery. I called the store again as someone did take my credit card number and it was charged. Was advised I had to talk to customer service who told me the request was made and they did put on the paper for delivery between 4-6 pm and that I had to call delivery dept and say I paid special. Here I call delivery dept and advised nothing noted on my file. Delivery between 12-6 pm as per system.

Exasperated I told the agent I paid special, that I called the store etc and was put on hold for 5-10 minutes. She advised me that the driver would do his best to accommodate my request. How nice, “try his best”.. I paid $75 for someone to try his best and for another person not to have noted the special request on file. The driver “tried his best” and came at 15:50. Fortunately concierge let him in because it was close to 4 pm. I don’t want to imagine what would have happened if the person who had booked the elevator was still using it, or if I had not called to all these depts or if the driver had arrived earlier around 1 pm since everyone read delivery as 12-6 pm which is the NORMAL FREE time slot. Would I have had to rebook again and be charged more?

I think your company should be ashamed of taking money from people for “special” request when the instruction is not even followed and no one from the company and call centre is aware of it. Do you think I was willing to pay extra just because I was feeling generous that day? To add insult to injury, they charged taxes on the delivery special request when I was advised it would cost $75 period. My card has been charged $84.95.

Seriously I would like to have the taxes reversed. I paid $75 which increased to $84.95 for a special request that was NOT even one and had to do extra work to call around to make sure my mattress arrived on time and no one was aware of the instructions. How ridiculous is that! I was lucky that concierge lets them in this time. The frustration and hassle is so NOT worth the purchase nor the special delivery fee since in the end no one knew it was a timed delivery.
