CF&R Services INC (The Jel Sert Company ~ Kool Pops Refund Offer)â€

By anythingdeco

I have to write a quick review about the service with the mail in rebate from Kool Pops. Many companies offer ‘Mail in rebates’ on their products and the standard ‘6-8 weeks’ for receiving your cheque is often more like 8-12 weeks right??? Sometimes..you don’t receive one at all! How many times have you received a letter saying that you didn’t fill it out properly?

So..Kool Pops.. this company sells FREEZIES. Yes..you buy their inexpensive freezies and they offer you a mail in rebate that basically equals the value of their product. The catch..well..the rebate came in about TWO WEEKS. Yes..TWO WEEK! So people..I say to you. This company should start making cereal and diapers and other grocery items because if their customer service for freezies is like this for a $2 rebate on $2 freezies..I’m on board!

PetSmart

by sherbear609

This is a first for me… I had made an appointment last week for the dog to get his summer shave.

Well DH took him in and they could not take him due to being short staffed. Well DH said he can come back next week. They appologized. They are throwing in a top dog package free.. so my pom will be having a spa day for free :)

Great Customer Service From ConAgra Foods Canada

By Pameth

I had a faulty can of PAM cooking spray. Emailed the company and got a response in less than 24 hours. They called me to confirm my address. They will be sending replacement vouchers. This is the quickest customer service I have ever received.

Old Navy, St. John NB

By shawn

I was recently at the Old Navy sore in Saint John NB, and I just wanted to say the service was incredible. I am a 57 year old, hip woman that wants to keep up with fashion. When I go to some stores they blow you off because of your age , not a size 2 etc. My experience there was 5 star. Maxine at the cash was super as was the sales clerk.Happy customer will return again and again. Thank you

Great Experience With Lowe’s Canada and Moen

By Cam

I needed a replacement receipt (or so I thought) for a Moen kitchen faucet I bought at Lowe’s in 2009. Working with my bank I was able to identify the date of purchase and the amount of the receipt. Lowe’s customer care was great at taking my particulars and an image of my receipt was emailed to me in a couple of days. All very professional and courteous. Oh yeah, it turns out that all I had to do was call Moen, tell them which faucet and finish I had and the replacement part was couriered to me immediately and no receipt required and an excellent experience with well trained and knowledgeable staff.

Thumbs Up for Red Bomb Fireworks Selkirk

By  Johnathan Olson

Had a great shopping experience at my local fireworks store!

I visit quite regularly and the staff always seem to have something new to show me and surprise me with. I even get free items every time I go.

The girl at the front desk was polite and made sure I got the best “bang for my buck” so to speak. Better deals than gas station fireworks.

The store is clean, bright, and very colorful. I know they offer a lot of services, but I’ll have to get some literature next time I’m there!

Great Service at London Drugs Calgary

By Shellb

Fantastic customer service last coupon day. I was given pointers as I am a newbie and the CSR telling me to save French version coupons or that they honor price matching for some stores outside the city like No Frills. She was so helpful and and this locations is not the closest by maybe 10 minutes but for awesome customer service like that I have been telling everyone. All associates were great and the store manager even made a call on an item that was sold out that I had a coupon for to see when the next shipment would be in. WOW! WAY TO GO LONDON DRUGS!

Great Service at London Drugs

By Michelle Wagner

Hi everyone! This is my first review! I am still fairly new to the site. I was at London Drugs atTilicum Mall in Victoria BC today and was engaged in conversation with the CS. rep at Customer service regarding Coupons. She encouraged me to use more then one coupon when I inquired about the one per purchase. She also told me that I should coupon stack and that they allow it because they get reimbursed anyway! I quickly went back and got more. (Kotex - $3 WUB2) … I got 4 packs that were on sale, used 2 coupons plus got 4 free sample boxes because there was a deal when you buy a kotex product you get a sample pack free. She had no problem giving me 4 to go with my 4 boxes. It as a delightful experience!

Thumbs Up for Kirkland Brand Back Pain Meds

By EEE

The boyfriend’s back was killing him, so on a recent trip to Costco I decided to have a look to see if they had any Robax Platinum for back pain. A bottle with 60 pills was $25.99 !!! I hesitated over the price, but then noticed next to it they had Kirkland brand Muscle and Back Pain Relief medication for $3.99 for a bottle of 100 pills.

I compared the medicinal ingredients in the Kirkland brand pills with the Robax ones, and they were close enough.
Brought home the $3.99 pills, and they really worked well on my boyfriends aching back.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM PANASONIC CANADA, TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM ENERGIZER CANADA!â€

By Sherry

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK PANASONIC CANADA FOR HAVING TRULY EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I RECENTLY PURCHASED A PANASONIC BATTERY CHARGER, AND WHEN IT MALFUNCTIONED, THE COMPANY NOT ONLY REPLACED IT WITHOUT CHARGE, THEY REPLACED IT WITH A BETTER ONE, AND SENT ALONG A FEW COMPLIMENTARY BATTERIES AS WELL. THIS COMPANY PROVIDED TRULY EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND SERVICE AND THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS, WHICH I HAVE FOUND TO BE OF EXCELLENT QUALITY. I DID NOT EXPECT THIS LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND IN FACT, I ALMOST DID NOT CALL THEM, BECAUSE IN THE PAST, I HAVE HAD SOME VERY POOR EXPERIENCES WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM OTHER COMPANIES. I FIGURED I WOULD HAVE TO BUY A NEW CHARGER IF MY CHARGER HAD INDEED STOPPED WORKING, BUT I CALLED THE COMPANY TO INQUIRE IF PERHAPS THERE WAS SOMETHING I WAS DOING WRONG THAT I COULD CHANGE, OR IF THE UNIT COULD AT LEAST STILL BE USED TO CHARGE BATTERIES ALTHOUGH THE LED INDICATOR WOULD NO LONGER FUNCTION. I EMAILED THE COMPANY WITH MY QUESTION AND THEY CALLED ME BACK ON THE VERY NEXT BUSINESS DAY. I WAS AMAZED AT THEIR HELPFULNESS - WHEN THEY ASCERTAINED THAT THE UNIT WAS NO LONGER FUNCTIONING, I THANKED THEM FOR THEIR HELP AND WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE, BUT THEY STOPPED ME AND ARRANGED TO SEND OUT A REPLACEMENT. I HAVE A NUMBER OF PANASONIC PRODUCTS IN MY HOME - MICROWAVE, PHONES, BATTERIES AND CHARGER,S ETC. - AND THEY ARE ALL OF EXCELLENT QUALITY. NOW THAT I’VE LEARNED THAT THEY ALSO HAVE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOOK FOR AND BUY PANASONIC OVER THE ALTERNATIVES.

(INCIDENTALLY, I HAVE PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED NUMEROUS ENERGIZER BATTERY CHARGERS, AND I HAD A VERY POOR EXPERIENCE WITH THEIR PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAD SIX CONSECUTIVE CHARGERS MALFUNCTION AFTER ONLY A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND VERY LIMITED USE, AND I REPLACED EACH ONE MYSELF, UNTIL FINALLY THE SEVENTH FAILED ON ONLY THE SECOND OR THIRD USE. I FINALLY CALLED THE COMPANY, AT WHICH TIME I LEARNED THAT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS OF THE SAME POOR QUALITY AS THEIR PRODUCTS. I WAS ADVISED THAT I WOULD NEED TO SHIP THE UNIT BACK TO THEIR P.O. BOX AT MY OWN COST, AND TOLD THAT THEY MAY OR MAY NOT REPLACE IT THEREAFTER. I REQUESTED AN ALTERNATE SHIPPING ADDRESS THAT COULD ACCEPT A COURIERED DELIVERY AS I WOULD NEED SOMEONE TO PICK UP THE DELIVERY FROM MY HOME, AND I EXPLAINED THAT I COULD NOT GET IT TO THE POST OFFICE MYSELF AS I HAVE A BROKEN BACK. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP, A YOUNG MAN, LAUGHED AT MY PREDICAMENT AND MADE SOME VERY RUDE, SNIDE COMMENTS. HE TOLD ME I SHOULD GET WHOEVER HELPS ME WITH MY GROCERIES AND ALL THE OTHER THINGS I APPARENTLY CAN’T DO TO TAKE IT TO THE POST OFFICE AS I APPARENTLY COULDN’T ‘RUN’ IT THERE MYSELF. ALTHOUGH I WAS INSULTED BY HIS ATTITUDE AND HIS COMMENTS, I ATTEMPTED TO EXPLAIN THAT I HAVE HAD TO MAKE ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS FOR MY NECESSITIES AND THAT I DO NOT HAVE A PERONAL HELPER TO DO MY BIDDING. I FOUND THIS PARTICULARLY INSULTING - I DIDN’T APPRECIATE THE CONDESCENDING, RUDE BEHAVIOUR OR SNIDE COMMENTS. I FOUND THE ENERGIZER PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE TO BE EXTREMELY POOR AND IN STARK CONTRAST TO THE PANASONIC PRODUCTS AND CONSUMER SERVICE.)

I WOULD MOST CERTAINLY BUY PANASONIC PRODUCTS IN THE FUTURE, BECAUSE THEY ARE OF EXCELLENT QUALITY AND THE COMPANY OFFERS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STANDS BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. THIS IS APPARENTLY NOT ALL THAT COMMON - SO I WANT TO GIVE MY BUSINESS TO THE COMPANIES WHO DO PROVIDE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. WITH ANY LUCK, COMPANIES WHO DON’T OFFER THIS KIND OF SERVICE WILL FLOURISH, AND THOSE THAT DON’T WILL HAVE TO IMPROVE, OR PERISH.

Great Customer Service from MBNA Mastercard Canada

By Ashley

I just dealt with MBNA mastercard and had excellent customer service when I called their 1-888 number.

The young gentleman I spoke to was very helpful with my issue (I forgot my stupid secure code for online purchases since I mainly use paypal) and he was able to quickly walk me through it.

I also asked him a question which I thought was genuinely silly but thought, hey if you don’t ask it, how will you know the answer.

I asked him if I could switch my sony mastercard for a Shoppers Optimum mastercard instead because I would get far more use out of it.

Now due to my somewhat inferior credit score due to an illness and some late payments I was unable to qualify for the optimum mastercard when I applied for it last year so I thought all hope was lost in ever getting to rack up my points even further!

BUT to my amazement I was informed that I was allowed to switch my existing card over!! What a glorious day!! Just when I was about to consent to the change over the phone he paused and said “Just wait one minute. You have enough sony points for $40 worth of merchandise, so why don’t you spend those points on the sony website and then switch your card after so that you do not loose out on those points.”

REALLY!? Someone from a credit card company was actually giving me advice on making money from my account?!

While their interest rate can be quite high, their customer service was indeed excellent today. That card got me through some rough patches and I was able to pay it off. Now I will be able to pay it off in full every month so I will not accrue interest AND I will be able to optimize my optimum points as well!

Thank you MBNA!

Coles: A Book Order Dream

By Ana

I work in a remote school with very poor resources as a teacher and I decided that I would supplement the lending library as the selection was sparse. I called a Coles store to get some pricing (internet here can be unreliable) and was told by the customer service clerk that she did not have time just then, but could she get my name and number to call me back. I had told her that I needed ordering information on a list of almost 80 titles so I did not expect a long distance call back. True to her word, though, she called at the exact time she said she would and asked if I would be comfortable sending her an emailed list rather than doing the whole thing over the phone. I got her email address and sent her the list without any real hope of getting the information. I also included a note stating that I would be in the area of the store two weeks from then and would like to purchase as many as possible then.

Three days later I got an email back from her with pricing for both used and new copies, in-store and online options, various different versions of some of the same books, prices both before and after discount (turns out she could save me a bundle by selling me a loyalty card too) and worked out the cheapest price possible through a combination of sources. She asked that I respond quickly as she would have to drive to 2 other stores to pick some of the books up and since it was her day off she wanted to do it then. I responded immediately giving her a green light to do what she thought was best. I trusted her to do this for me, and was pleasantly surprised.

Four days passed and she called me to tell me that she was able to get all but 3 books, but each were available to order online and that with my new loyalty card there was also a coupon I could use. The only catch was that I had to wait and order them when I got there as ahe could not take my credit card number over the phone, which I suggested. She told me it was for security as she would have to keep the card number in the store in case something went wrong and to verify it when I came to get the books. She did however suggest that I order the books myself and gave me the order numbers to place the order and walked me through the ordering process on the phone when I agreed to try it. The books I ordered arrived 4 days later. Miraculous considering I live really remote in northern Ontario.

When I went in to the store, she greeted me with a smile, showed me my books (she had found some in their bargain section and saved me even more money), sold me a loyalty card and sent me on my way with my stack of books in free Indigo shopping bags. I can not rave enough.

I have heard mixed reviews from friends about Chapters, Coles and Indigo, and had skepticism about quality customer service, but this experience made a world of difference to me. Sure, things can always go wrong, but sometimes they go very right.

Great Return Policy at Costco Canada

By Liz

Costco has a real no worries return policy.

We bought a LG home theatre system and after a couple of weeks decided we didn’t like the high pitched whiney noise it sometimes made. So took it back and instant refund, no questions asked.

My husband bought some snow boots and the zipper broke after he’d been wearing them for a few weeks. We still had the receipt but not the box, and returned them for full price.

The cashier said that we could have returned them without the receipt, but would have received the clearance price.

I don’t worry buying things at Costco as it seems very easy to return them if you have problems.

Rave Review for Exceltoner.caâ€

By thatgengirl

My Brother all-in-one centre ran out of toner, and I wasn’t about to pay full retail for a new cartridge. After doing a Google search for the cartridge number, the company Excel Toner came up. I really liked their prices, so I did another Google search for reviews of the website. All were positive and I decided to give it a try.

I ordered on a Wednesday and the product was delivered on a Friday. Unfortunately, I’m a dummy and I ordered the wrong darn thing.

Pleased with the experience, I made a second order that Sunday, and the item was delivered today (Friday.)

As far as I’m concerned, that’s top-notch service.

Shipping is only $7.95, regardless of item, weight or quantity, and the prices are around 60% off retail. (Note: You are ordering compatible items, not the official brand name products.)
