Bikini Bay Brampton Sales Lady Made an Error, and I Had to Payā€¸!

By Bikin Bay Brampton

I went to Bikini Bay today at Brampton shoppers world and tried on a bikini. I didn’t like the style of the bottoms so I asked the sales girl for the same size in a different style bottom. The bikini bottom was on the size rack colour that I needed and she was the one who handed it to me. I bought it and when I was in the mall I realised that the the bikini bottom was on the wrong rack and was actually a size 10. I’m 5′10 and 130 pounds with no butt. There is no way a size 10 bottom would ever fit me. I tried returning it and the girl refused to return it even though it was her fault that I had bought the 10 in the first place. It was only a half hour after buying it and I hadn’t even left the mall. I just spent 80 dollars on a bikini that I can never wear. The sales manager was really rude and said I should have tried on the bikini. I told her I did try on the bikini, I knew what size to buy it was the sales lady that gave me the wrong suit.
Like I totally understand if they wouldnt return it if I had it for a while… but I was still in the mall and it was the sales ladies fault I bought a 10. The sales manager was also so rude she made me cry.
I’m never shopping at this place again!

Extra Foods in Sechelt BC-Plant This!

By Louis Konkin

This is a heartfelt apology—

I went to the Extra Foods Sechelt branch today and got a lecture (twice from 2 separate personnel) on bringing plant materials into the store Ā to pay for them—Apparently, there was a till hidden on the outside set up for my convenience—-Also apparently, there were employees working there (again for my convenience) but they must have been near the hidden till the 15 minutes that I took to select the Dwarf Lillies—(After the lecture I felt like the Dwarf Lillies, dried out and unwanted)

I did not see the sign that said that I should pay for the plants on the outside and not inside—I felt really bad that I didn’t read the red sign with small print about the till because the lectures that I received after I took the plants in made me realize that the employees at that store are pretty adamant that such an incident should not happen again–(They said “next time” twice)——I can onIy imagine what the penalty would be if I did take plants in again—Perhaps I would be forced to work the plant area for a day at the BC minimum wage—- Now I feel better!! —Thank you for the opportunity to get the guilt off my conscience———I felt like my mother was there(she’s gone to a better place for 17 years now)——

Fellowes Paper Shredders - AMAZING Customer Service! WOW!

By 2jk19

So…I purchased a Fellowes brand paper shredder for my dad for his birthday. It was purchased awhile ago (unsure of exact date and I no longer had the receipt). I did however have the box which has the UPC of course and a model number label affixed to it.

I called customer service and told the really nice lady that the shredder always jams, it doesn’t cut well, etc. She apologized, explained a couple things to me, and took down my information. Having no receipt didn’t seem to pose much of a problem because I had proof of my purchase (the box).

I scanned the upc to her and she quickly offered to send me a brand new machine, FREE of charge! It was shipped and received just ONE day after I had spoke with her on the phone! She sent me a better model too! I was soo very happy with the amazing customer service and prompt attention to the issue that I was having with their products.

I will most definetely be purchasing their products again (they make great gifts!) I also don’t have to send the broken one in - she just said to use it for parts or cut the cord off and dispose of it. I cut the cord off and disposed of the machine, but kept the really nice mesh bin for an office waste basket!

Know that you can count on this company for GREAT customer service :)

Thanks Fellowes!!

Great Customer Service at Off Your Rockerā€¸

By Amused Insider

I just bought a rocking chair from an online store to finish my nursery.

The owner-operator was very personable and customer-oriented. Quite a difference from the usual BIG BOX stores. He emailed several times the same day to answer my questions and find out my needs.

He was able to build the chair extra wide for me and he emailed pictures of various fabrics so that I could pick the perfect one. Yes, he went out to look at fabrics to send me pix of what he could find to match my request for something green. He also offered to mail me samples of the fabrics to I could see them in person.

A solid wood rocker and ottoman shipped to me for less than $400 is a bargain and it’s going to be an heirloom I can pass on to my own grandchildren.

Weedman Canada Harassment

By Robin J

I employed Weedman to look after my lawn for five or six year & I was completely happy with the resulting lawn. However, since the implementation of Ontario’s pesticide ban, the results have not been particularly good. For this reason I declined to renew my contract with the local Weedman agent. Since that time I have been harrassed by persistent, rude phone calls (9 or 10 to date) trying to get me to renew my contract. If I decide to use a lawn service in the future, it definitely will not be Weedman!

Walmart Canada Tire Department in Newmarket ON; Flat Out Discrimination

By Kris

You’ll never believe the treatment I received at the tire department in Newmarket Walmart. I was there to have my summer tires put on, and had asked about the slow leak I had on my winter tires (which, ehm, Newmarket Walmart put on).
Instead of explaining the oxidation and lack of seal around the rim to me, he looked at my boyfriend and said “You understand, right?” When I asked “Why would HE understand?”, Tom at Walmart said “It’s a guy thing”. Wow, we’ll see how much its a ‘guy thing’ when I have your head for such an ignorant comment. I will NEVER shop there or any Walmart again.

Costco Canada Praises

By Jimmie Jayson

With all the negative reviews here, I would like to add the about the pleasant experiences I have had shopping at Costco.

I am not a “big time” shopper but Costco is a store that is so diversified in products, from groceries to motor oil to patio furniture to vitamins and all items are of good quality.

I am not an employee or am I affiliated to the store in any way other than just a loyal shopper..

I may add they have an excellent return policy that I have used on a few occasions.

And bonus, they pay their employees a decent living wage unlike other huge chains.

From their meat supply to their service, they are second to none.

Oh, and now our local Costco sells gasoline too and its always three to four cents a liter cheaper than anyone else.

Canadian Tire:Can’t return SH*T!!!ā€¸

By Sandy

I suffer with Scoliosis & Fibromyalgia therefore comfort & support while seated at my computer are paramount. A friend ’surprised’ me with an ergonomic computer chair he purchased at Canadian Tire & assembled it for me as he knew I would be unable to.

Unfortunately, the chair did not provide the adequate support I needed so we promptly tried to return it to the Canadian Tire store where it was bought with our explanation for its return. Because my friend had inadvertently discarded the box which the unassembled chair was purchased in, Canadian Tire refused to offer a refund in return for the chair - even though the receipt was dated for the day before!

I could understand if they could only offer a store credit, but no. I’m stuck with a $100.00 chair I can’t use & one of us is out the money: If you’ve never known anyone who is trying to eck out an existance on Disability benefits, I can tell you that it’s well BELOW the poverty line!
A few months back I also tried to return a wind-up flashlight which only worked for a few minutes when I first brought it home - never to work again, but, because it wasn’t in its original packaging Canadian Tire would not honor the product they sold to me.
I have been a faithful customer of Canadian Tire most of my life - even worked as a cashier in the original location on Sheppard Ave. at Leslie St. in Willowdale while I attended school back in the 70’s, but if this is how Canadian Tire treats its loyal customers I can assure you that there will not be a THIRD time that I purchase a product which is not suitable or dysfunctional from you as I will cease to shop at Canadian Tire from this day forward!

I will get my car serviced at WALMART because I am treated with courtesy & quality work plus it’s cheaper. Anything that Canadian Tire sells, I can also get at WALMART for less!

Below is a picture of the chair I am stuck with as even posting an ad for it at HALFgetattachment the price on craigslist & kijiji is generating no response.

Arctic Gardens Vegetables-Ewwww!

By Steph

Anyone else have the same opinion as me on the ASPARAGUS…it sucks!

I have tried different time settings on my microwave, nothing helps.

The asparagus is STRINGY, super soggy and it tastes like anything but asparagus…well, it tastes a bit like asparagus.

I noticed today that the asparagus is a product of Chili. Seriously? We could find some country closer to product the asparagus??

Maybe that would help with the flavour?

So, before I go out this week and buy a big bag of AG frozen beans on sale, sometime please tell me if it’s worth it.

Reliance Protection - How long should it take to contact in case of emergency?ā€¸

By Poohbear6

Last week I had a break-in in my home at 10:29 AM. I have an alarm system with reliance protecton. They called my home phone at 10:38AM (9 minutes after the alarm started going off). No one was at home so they left a message on the answering machine. They called me right after on my cell phone at 10:39AM and informed me that the front door sensor and the motion sensor had set off the alarm and if I would like them to dispach police. I refused because by that time my neighbour had already contacted me and had called the police.

The good thing is no one was hurt and nothing got stolen. I think that reliance protectron took too long to act and I don’t feel that my home is secure with their monitoring service. I am in a three year contract with them and would like to get out and switch to a more reliable service.

When I contacted them and asked them the reason for the delay I got different reasons from different supervisors. The first reason I was given was that the alarm could have been weather related (wind might have caused it to set off). So they took some time to act. This would mean that not only the front door but the motion sensor that is inside the house was also set off by the wind … ya right. I didn’t buy that reasoning.

The second supervisor said they had a high volume of calls and they were dealing with priorities first (like fire, carbon monoxide, medical emergencies first). That is understandable but how to did they know there is no threat of life at my home. The thieves could have been armed.

A third supervisor who called me back said that they treat the front door sensor and motion detector as one. Then why do I have two different devices???

Anyways… I don’t think anyone should get monitoring service from them and I am now in search of a more reliable company. Any suggestions will be greatly appriciated. Thank you

Loblaws Canada No Name French Fries-Allergic To Milk? Avoid These!

By Christys

Loblaws no name crinkle cut french fries
upc# 0 60383 69148 6
Ā
Nowhere in the ingredient list or on the package does it state that this product contains milk. IT DOES!!
After my 10 month old son almost goes into anaphylactic shock due to a severe milk allergy,Ā I researched the product and discovered unless it states “FRESH CUT” the fries are made with a paste that contains milk. In Canada it is mandatory and REQUIRED BY LAW to list the top 8 food allergens on the package, milk being one of those. Me and my family of 6 will never purchase any product with Loblaws on the package ever again.

Walmart Canada Misrepresenting Advertised Pricesā€¸

By Moe

Haagen Dasz ice cream (3 bar) was advertised in the Walmart flyer as $3.97. I was not suspecting them to gouge me for $6.97. As I was leaving I saw the bill went back to the cashier/ customer service. It took them 45 minutes … by taking out every damn excuse the picture was there the SKU was not there etc. In the end the assistant mgr says the Walmart and Walmart supercenter have different flyers. Any idiot can read the name of the store is WALMART. Stopping stealing from the very customers that support you. !!!!!!.

I will not shop at the WALMART Markville location.

BE warned of the robbers.

JYSK Online Ordering:No Sweet Dreams Here

By Moe Anderson

Don’t EVER buy anything online from this company! I ordered pillows totaling $30 + $10 delivery charge. They arrived wrapped up in a thin plastic (no box) and looked like someone had been using it for soccer practice. It was dirty and ripped up.
I refused delivery and sent back with the Purolator man. I get a nasty phone call from JYSK saying I am responsible for both the delivery charges there and back as they don’t see problem with the order. No offer to send back a good replacement…just rude accusations. I told her even the Purulator man said I should definitely send it back as he’s never seen such a poor job of packaging. She said “Well I’m going to have to call Purolator and report him!!” She was out for a fight with me and really pissed off.

Fine… whatever…. I vow never to shop there again…then I look at my VISA bill and they charged me delivery fees 3x! So basically I’m paying $30 delivery charges for something I never even got! Very unprofessional…very poor customer service.

Chako Restaurant….Great food and a lot of funā€¸

By Jane

Last year my husband and I took both our mother to Chako Korean BBQ Restaurant for mother’s day dinner. We enjoyed it very much. The restaurant offers all you can eat BBQ or you can just order off the menu. The restaurant is huge and well designed; it can accommodate over 200 guests.

We love Korean BBQ. We used to go to a small Korean restaurant, and it would cost at least $30 per person without any alcohol drinks. We found out Chako Restaurant is all you can eat type of setting, and only cost $16 per person for dinner, and even less for lunch, we have to go there. For people who never try Korean BBQ, it’s a really fun way to dine. There are individual grills at every table; the guest would take part in do-it-yourself grilling. Remember it’s all you can eat; you’ll just keep re-ordering the meat, seafood or vegetables of your choice. It also comes with appetizers, rice, soup and dessert.

Chako is one of the Destiny group restaurant, they have a number of restaurants featuring Asian cuisine. We’d visited many of them; the majority of them are worth re-visiting. Unfortunately, most of their restaurant located in Richmond Hill; it’s a bit far for us. I heard they opened a new Japanese buffet restaurant in Mississauga; we might go there this Mother’s day.

Lousy Service at Trade Secrets- Square One - Eyebrow Waxing Areaā€¸

By Long Wait Customer

I went to Trade Secrets in Square One, Mississauga last April 5, 2010 this Indian lady, one of the workers who is doing the brows, told me half an hour wait, and I waited for over an hour, I saw people come and go as told by this Indian worker, they were on her imaginary list, (no actual list, she just remember customers by their faces and who knows who came first and what not). A white lady worker came and she just passed me on to this worker named Rita, who arrived very late for her shift, and have the nerve to tell her customers what she wants to do, not what the customers want to be done. After one lady, I sat there, and requested her to do an arch brows for me, she said she can’t do it, all she can do is just to clean it for me, because the workerĆ¢ā‚¬ā„¢s friend came out of nowhere, and she wanted to serve her friend better than a customer who was there an hour before, I figured, what kind of service is that? Aside from the fact that this worker smelled cigarette, she did
her job very shabby and unprofessional, she did the brows hurriedly, just two minutes, basically she missed some spots and left my right brows with small scrape coz of the thread. That was really sloppy. While I asked for the number of the manager, to express my complaint, the Indian and white worker stood there and the one who served me had the nerve to complain why I need to ask for an arch eye brows. For all I know that is part of the service why she needs to be relieved of such request. Unfortunately, the cashier lady covered for her, and said she will talk to her, in my mind, what a cashier can do to her, basically nothing. That is one lousy place to go, find another place if you want to have your eye brows done coz surely they will let you wait and serve people they know first before you. Aside from expensive items that they are selling this people are poor in customer service, we can always find best valued items in the neighbouring malls and stores complimente
d with excellent service. That was one worthless wait, I am very unhappy with the service. Talk about service rating, my rating for Trade Secrets in Square One branch is a lousy rating one.
