Quiznos Canada - No Fresh Tomatoes?

by Linda

Went to Quizmos on Hespeler Road in Cambridge and ordered a pizza with the works about 6 weeks ago. The girl making it asked if I would accept pizza sauce instead of fresh tomatoes..I replied I really preferred fresh tomatoes but o.k. When I went to pay for it I notice a big basket of fresh tomatoes. I asked who I presumed was the owner why I was told I couldn’t have fresh tomatoes when they had so many.He said ….look at the lineup we don’t have time to cut up tomatoes. I said those customers are more important than me? Why don’t you hire more workers? Then I told him I won’t return to his store. WILL NOT RETURN TO QUIZNOS. BAD ATTITUDE . THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. OR WAS IT BECAUSE I WAS A WOMAN ALONE?

Wait a sec, you’re complaining that they used pizza sauce on a pizza?

They advertise fresh tomatoes on their pizza. One reason I used to go there.

I had a similar experience with Quiznos…..they had no guacamole…and did not even tell me…..the guacamole was supposed to be a standard part of the wrap and only when I confirmed that it had guac on it did the server tell me they were run out. that was the reason I wanted that particular item…I started to tell her forget it, but then i felt bad because she had it almost done at that point…..

If they advertise fresh tomatoes and they have some in stock, then that is what the customer should get. She is paying for it afterall.
My husband and I ate at a Quizno’s and he had a large chunk of hard plastic in his sub that he hadn’t noticed til he bit down on it. We complained to the people working there at the time; they offered to make us a new sub (never offered for us not to have to pay for his one that was ruined instead) but why would we want a new sub from people who obviously are not careful with their food. When I called to complain (the 1 800 number) I was told someone would call me back. Which never happened. So months later, I called again. I got a coupon in the mail for a free sub, meanwhile my husband’s filling was loose from biting down on it.

Oh, and after we said we didn’t want the new sub, they walked away and started a conversation with one another. Not even a sorry.

Our local Quiznos in Bayers Park, Halifax has not been selling coffee(machine is still there) since at least August. Anytime you ask they have a different excuse, I guess the profit margins must be higher on pop. Pitiful.

Quizno’s is NOT awful, after all, TOASTED TASTES BETTERRRRRR……….!!!

Customer service stinks everywhere these days. As a service advisor at dealerships for the past 10 years, every customer is given a customer survey card for EVERY service. It is their chance to voice their opinion. I do think customers are over-demanding little crybabies, but in some cases they really are right. When a bad survey comes in, the advisor whoo handled the customer typically gets grilled and it goes against his performance record and eventually his monthly bonus cheque.

I dont wish this to be common practice, but definitely more companies and industries need to keep track of their customers’ satisfaction.

I was using a 50% off reg or lg sub and when I went to pay for it, they asked for the full price. They said they couldn’t do anything about it. “If the machine says 10.55 for one sub, then you have to pay $10.55.” We argued (people in line were on my side of course) for 7 minutes and it ended with me leaving the sub and walking out. I go there weekly for subs but after this poor display of customer service I won’t be returning. I don’t expect this type of service in Canada.

I started getting subs at Quizno’s at my local store on Mud St. in Stoney Creek, ON. It was great and the service was great. Then we had to move to St. Albert, Alberta and the local one here (corner Villeneuve and St. Albert Trail) has been just awful. In the last 10mths I’ve gone 4 times. Each time, thinking that I’ll give them another chance. But each time, I’m disappointed. Classic example… I asked for a chicken sub today with Ranch dressing. I must have said Ranch 3 times. I get home, and it’s Honey Mustard. How do you get Honey Mustard?! It doesn’t even look like Ranch! Every time I have gone it’s one mistake after another and poor service to boot. I’m tired of putting up with it!

I miss my Quizno’s in Stoney Creek!

NB. One more sign of poor service, I can’t even find a complaint section on the company’s website. Instead I get routed to an email/phone # for the specific store. Unless of course I want to call long distance to the corporate head office. No 1-800# provided. I really don’t think they care.

Quiznos in Burlington is great! The owner cares about his customers, and his staff share his customer service ethic.

Definitely believe that which you said.
Your favorite reason seemed to be on the internet the easiest thing to be aware of.
I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while people think about worries that they just do not know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people can take a signal.
Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
    Best Regards Rolf Lyder

I complained online and got no answer. My criticism was long, articulate and elaborate in regard to employees with nits choosing the food industry…and not putting anything other than sauce and meat in take-out orders. So you get to find out how much you got ripped off after you get home!! The Commercial Drive (Vancouver) Quiznos Manager stated I had waited too long to complain: Bought December 24; complained December 31 because most Quiznos were closed most of that time for holidays, so I couldn’t phone to ascertain the standards or expectations, and couldn’t call the nasty girl who shorted me. I know her family, I know what she did was intentional. You’ve heard of food poisoning before?
