Awesome Customer Service at Lowe’s in Barrie

by Julieandsteve

My girlfriend and I went to Lowes after reading on here that the hanging baskets were b1g1. It was late Sat. night. They were sold out except for a couple rough looking ones. The girl working in flowers was able to convince the men unloading the truck with the next days shipment to let us get ours. She went above and beyond. Then another employee went and got us a cart. When we went in the store we were asked by different employees if they could help us. It was a great expereience.

I assure you that if you were to channel your issues in the correct direction you would receive phenomenal customer service and Lowe’s would work with you to ensure you are 100% satisfied with their products and services. Lowe’s provides a customer service 1-800 number which provides support to both Canada and the US. The customer care number is 1-800-445-6937 this company provides excellence in everything that they do. If you call the 1-800 number and the issue is raised to the store manager you will be satisfied with your Home Improvement shopping experience.

Have you ever tried to find something on the Lowes website? Well good luck if you ever do try. Their site has no prices on it, and is so disorganized.

I have written two emails to their contact on the site and told them they win the award for “World’s Worst Website” and gotten no response at all!

I don’t like Lowes anyways. I like CT!

I also have had great service from the Barrie store. They offered a “custom cut” blind service that saved us hundreds of dollars over the “custom made” options out there and look great. Always asked if I need help and they have a great kids program too (the kids get to build a small project and it is 100% free)!

Went to Lowes store in Scarbrough near Steeles Avenue
My wife and I are planning on remodelling 2 large bathrooms, which includes drywalling, flooring, cabinets, hardware, etc etc.
Went to plumbing dept and saw 3 associates , no one acknowedled we were there, no help, we stood near service desk for 10 -15 minutes and still no help, so we wandered over to flooring, same NO SERVICE and no one seemed to care, so we wandered over to kitchens, to look at counter tops. We actually did receive a hello, by one of the 3 associates that were sitting at there desks talking amongst themselves.
It’s really a shame that there is no customer service at this location.
they just lost out on a major sale that we ended up making at the home Depot down the street. They appreciated our business and thanked us for shopping with them.

Had an awesome experience with the flooring dept in Whitby. From the time we started our discussions with the sales person at the desk to the install dept great communication to me. The installers were fast and very clean. I have been there 5 or 6 times now and I always get great service. Great to see a company who cares about its customers.

Went to pick up counter tops that we had ordered (they came in sooner than promised). Unfortunately, the person bringing them to the front of the store for us had NO IDEA how to transport them and loaded them incorrectly on their raw edges damaging them on route to the front of the store. A supervisor was called and he promptly came to check out the situation: no problem, reorder. The next day we received a call from Lowes to inform us that the counter tops had been reordered and would be expedited and would arrive on a specific date ( week and a half) AND would be delivered to our HOME. Two days before the delivery we received another call to confirm the delivery date and that the counters would be delivered first thing in the morning.
Hopefully the young person who was the cause of the damage has been retrained. (I’m betting he has been.)

We always go to the Lowes in Maple and have had nothing but terrific service.
We had done a lot of renovations last year and visited the bath department many, many times and received wonderful assistance. As we also tend to make the final decision on the item at home we buy and return A LOT and have had no trouble doing this. When something came on sale a while after we had purchased it they would refund us the difference. The store is always clean and well lit and the staff is both knowledgable and personable - what a difference from Home Depot and Rona !

Well, I am on-line researching home renovation supplies and I find the Lowe’s Canada website completely useless.

It is not inspiring me to go to the local store (Ottawa). It is a waste of my time to have to go to the bricks and mortar store when competitors like Home Depot and Canadian Tire have pretty much posted their inventory on-line.

Bad business strategy. 2003 called - they want their website back.

Health and Fitness 2011 called - They want you to get off your lazy butt and maybe take a walk to the store to look at the products.

I will not waste my time going to a store if the item I’m looking for is not on their website. Home Depot and Canadian Tire have just about their entire inventory online with prices and reviews. Lowes has a totally useless website. I have no idea what I would use it for. So far (in the new Ottawa store) the staff have been totally unknowledgeable. They have gotten some of our business because of their good product selection. But it will not be a first choice for shopping.

Love Lowes (Hamilton), refreshing to find new brands that HD and others don’t carry. Hate going to different stores and everyone has the same selection. I usually try to go to Rona Waterdown first b/c it’s Canadian and that’s the best store of their chain that I’ve seen for selection.

Agree Lowes website sucks, I know they have stuff I’d prefer to buy but have to go to find out prices and sizes. Lately looking at garage organization: HD clearing what little they had out, and CT stuff is crap. Lowes is the only one with choices and still carries it.

I should add depending what I am looking for, Home Hardware Waterdown is also a huge store and often forgotten for home improvement stuff… Another good Canadian chain for many things.

More staff standing around talking then tending to customers requests.
Went to Scarbrough location, rude staff that know how to point and walk away. Left me standing there with questions , but could not find anyone to answer them
Pushed a call button, had a clerk come up and repush it to turn it off and told me she did not work in this department.
    Will not shop here again
Home Depot down the road and they carry the same Scotts fertilizer and mulch
Lowes lost out on a $500.00 sale
