Despite a previous bad experience at Toonie Pizza, my family wanted to give this local business another chance. However, our recent visit to Toonie Pizza was disappointing and frustrating. We had placed a pick up order of their Toonie Classic™ in addition to a large pick up special. Unfortunately, we had not checked our order when we picked it up, which in hindsight was our mistake. When we arrived home, we realized we were missing two toppings on our pizzas, as well as, a root beer. I immediately called Toonie Pizza in hopes of identifying how this mistake was made. The woman who answered my call did not attempt to resolve the issue. Through her yelling, she had the audacity to blame the mistake on me. Instead of arguing with her, I requested to speak with a manager or the owner. I was informed he would call me, but despite several days, I have not received any call. It became clear Toonie Pizza does not care for their customers.
Not only was the customer service disappointing, so was the food. The pizzas were of terrible quality; the crust was chewy and bland, while the toppings were sparse and did not taste fresh. I guess you do get what you pay for. Never again will we be visiting this establishment.

Toonie pizza? come on bro you gotta know better than that.
I understand wanting to support a local business but Toonie pizza? You know you’re going to get discount junk!
If you’re strapped for cash instead of eating fast-food junk food I suggest taking the kids to the grocery store and having homemade healthy pizza night! Make it fresh yourself and get the veggies on there!
What were the toppings that they left off? was it Ground beef and sausage? come on Steven get the veggies on there, green pepper mushrooms YUM YUM baby!
It’s a fun experience for the whole family! Plus your kids won’t grow up to be 400 pound beasts!
You can do it Steven! Avoid Toonie Pizza and get right with life!

WOW, Dave, You seem to be posting negative comments on everyones reviews.. I truly hope you aren’t the same Dave, I see around the message boards who (on the message boards) seem to be a lovely person…
OP: Your story sounds disgusting.. I don’t eat much pizza to begin with, but I definitely would hate to receive a pizza like that:-(

I don’t buy the story. If I have a bad experience with my food, that would be my last time I eat there.I have eaten at toonie pizza a few times. The place is busy! There should be a reason I think.I tried their meat lover slice .I got two huge slices and the taste was amaizing.Much better than Mamas or Pizza Pizza. It was 5.58 including a soda.Try the meat lover,it’s a must try.

You get what you pay for I guess. My family makes the yummiest pizzas around, and they always have the toppings we want. Maybe your family should try keeping the stuff on hand to make a quick, cheap, and yummy meal.

Hi Daren, how long have you been working at Toonie Pizza?
Chase says...
C’mon, “Toonie Pizza”, and you’re complaining that the food isn’t high quality? Of course you should get what you paid for, but how can you be surprised if you don’t… that’s like complaining that something you bought at Dollarama is cheap plastic junk that broke after 1 day.
Daren says...
Hi Sara,
I’ve been customer not employee there!
When I compare them to the rest of pizza places ,I think they have a better quality and their pizzas are less expensive.

HOnestly, yu gey what you pay for. Never been there, you should have checke d before you left. Lots of people, mainly cheapos, like to complain about stuff just to get it for free. It’s “Toonie Pizza” people - not fine dining! This poor family probably came to Canada to make a living, they probably made a mistake and it was their fault and they will learn from it. Mistakes happen! Get a life

“Toonie Pizza” does NOT sell Pizza for $2. If you check their website you will see their prices are pretty standard:

Maybe they sell single slices for $2, but not whole pizzas.
