Clarks are a good product. Many people don’t know how to care for items such as shoes and thus, they don’t last as long as they should. Most manufacturer’s have a six month guarantee on their products with receipt as proof of purchase. The store, however, does not have a warranty or guarantee on most products they sell. So to answer your question: No, Sears will not return, exchange or repair your item. Within their policies they may exchange or repair, but you are out of your policy date. Contact Clarks, it’s your last chance. Remember before you buy from ANY store, check with the associate what the policy is. Most policies are much stricter these days for reasons such as that. And with those policies, worn shoes are not returnable. Would you like to buy used shoes?

I have purchased a Clark shoe from Sears just 6 months ago. The outsoles are cracked while I have used the shoes not too much. Do you think I can return them or is there a policy for this kind of poor quality items.

Best to see if store policy differs from website policy. Sears could be treating the store as different from any website purchases. Other stores treat their website as a separate entity, thus a different policy applies.

our five year old rather expensive kenmore elite fridge broke, were told by sears that it was the compressor and an $800.00 fix. decided to purchase a new one instead and then hubby changed his mind and called sears to get the old one fixed. went back to store to have my purchase refunded that i paid for with my debit card(cash) was told that they no longer refund to debit, would have to wait 2 weeks for a cheque in the mail. this is not what is stated on the website, but they wouldn’t budge.
so basicaly they have my cash in their bank!

i would just like to mention that if you were to return an item that was paid on half cash half debit, you will get cash back. anytime that you want to return something that was paid on debit you will get cash back. however if you pay half gift card half debit, depending on the amount you will get it back on a gift card.

Yeah, so many people think they should have the right to try a product for free for as long as they want before paying for it. Of course, they’re usually the same people who throw a fit if they find out something they paid for was previously “tried” by someone else.

Should also mention that if you purchase electronics (and possibly other high end stuff) there is a re-stocking fee! I went in to buy a blu-ray player and when the salesman told me about the re-stocking fee in the event I don’t like it I put it right back on the shelf. No thanks!
