they definitely could ahve dealt with this in a more timely and appropriate manner.it isn't your fault no matter what happens to the package.it is their responsibility to be on top of what they sell, and to atleast alert you those shades are no longer available and to ask you to choose others instead of taking 3 months to tell you anything or provide a refund.i hardly ever shop online unless i have to.best to go to the MAC outlet like you said.

@Just Saying - I absolutely am aware of that. However, just because an online shop chooses to sell product like this doesn't make it sketchy, per se. It's become enough of a common practice that it isn't anything to call scam-worthy (and I am definitely not saying that thebeautysampler.com tried to scam me). There are a plethora of online shops that sell sample items, especially in the beauty community, just due to the nature of the products and the industry. It's like having an eBay store, but using your own URL. But as an online shop that actually advertises through so-called YouTube gurus and bloggers, they should have a better policy of dealing with a wide array of customer service issues.

thebeautysampler.com isn't an authorized reseller of MAC. MAC does not sell samples of their pigments; why would they let someone else do it on another website other than their own?
In essence, they are buying the retail product from MAC, breaking it up into sample sizes, then selling those sizes at a profit. It's kind of like selling free samples or your gift with purchase products - it's sketchy.
