Lenscrafters is a purely B/S store who should not be allowed a retail license in Canada. But the good old Canadian Government likes and promotes and welcomes retailers or other rip off types with open arms.

Our antire family just goes to Wal-Mart for our glasses. NEVER had a problem and they added new lenses to my wife's frames no problem. Plus, they fix my 7 yr old's glasses no matter how often we visit

Maybe things are different in Alberta but I've been wearing glasses for 33 years and have never ever had a pair "upgraded". You can put new lenses (at your cost) into your older frames if you want to avoid paying for new frames but I've never, ever heard of an optician updating your prescription to the new one for free. I guess I need to know where you were shopping before! Please share.
