Sadly customers dont realize that wearable parts are not covered by warrentee. The ring around the the door is such a part. Most likely the ring wore out and broke off and wasnt noticed.

Sadly also since the ring is not covered neither is the damage that was caused by it breaking.

And repairmen wont unhook the dishwasher that has to be done by the departed that hooked it up. Namely the installation. All installers are trained plumbers. Not all repairmen are.

I am curious were you charged for the installar and the repairman?

I agree with Watcher. No need to put down a person just because English is their second language.

Who cares if the installer could barely speak english? He diagnosed part of the problem and got the part. Should he not be able to find employment because he has an accent?

It is very unfortunate, but maybe you insurance will pay for fixing your floor.

The Brick sucks. One time I tried buy this sofa set for the price they advertised. The sales person told me that the advertisement was a error and that I could not get it at the price advertised. In the ad the sofa set was the exact model and colour. I argued that if they advertise it as being on sale then they should sell it at that price. That's why I never shop at the Brick. Too bad for them, they just lost one more customer. I hope that place goes bankrupt.

Your post isn't very clear where you bought the dishwasher - I am guessing it was The Brick.
This sounds like the dishwasher itself was defective - maybe follow up with LG instead.

Good luck.
